Admission of new students from Oct. 2024
and April 2025

Dear students, if you are studying for bachelor (B4), Master course (M2) and Technical college (Advanced Course), it is good time to join the Pandey Laboratory. We are recruiting MTech. and PhD students.

Research Subject:
Next Generation Solar Cells, Organic Electronic Devices, Bio-Image Sensors, Device Fabrication & Performance Evaluation, Material Synthesis and Characterization.

Eligible Students: Students having background of IT, mechanical, electrical, Electronics
Engineering and chemistry are most welcome. Irrespective of the backgrounds,
guidance will be provided from the fundamental level.

We are doing inter-disciplinary research aiming towards solution for energy crisis, futuristic flexible electronics and Biosensors by interfacing the Organic/Inorganic/Bio chemistry, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Information Science (Simulation) to attain the required goal.

Q1. I have interest in the Pandey lab research but my area of specialization is a bit different. I am afraid that
will it be possible for me to join ?

A1. You need not worry about.

In my laboratory students of diverse backgrounds such as information science, mechanical, electrical and electronics engineering and from national universities, private universities
and technical engineering colleges and from companies are working together. In the beginning, everybody was worried similarly like you.

In the Pandey lab, apart from keeping their own specialization, students learn different specialization as well by mutual interactions and experimentation, which ultimately lead to
enhanced personnel grooming in terms of knowledge and skills and they are becoming a valuable assets to the industry.

Q2. After finishing the MS course, whether students in your lab are opting for advanced PhD studies are going for jobs
in the industry.

A2. Pandey lab highly appreciates and welcome the students interested for attaining the more advanced knowledge  under PhD program. After the end of the study, students are mainly
joining the electrical, electronics precision, automobile and chemical industries irrespective of MS or PhD course. Currently, most of Japanese students opt for job in companies but
some of them also proceed for PhD. On the otherhand, almost all foreign students go for higher education after the master course.

Q3. I want to work hard in your research lab. Do you have adequate facilities? At the same time, I would like to keep my fitness along with perusing my research.
           Is it possible?

A3. We have all the adequate facilities to carry out your research work as well as to maintain you fitness.

First of all, regarding the research, we have material synthesis lab, material characterization lab, device fabrication and characterization lab facilities. Thus it is possible to conduct both
electrical as well as chemical research. Apart from this, we assign the students as person-in-charge for instruments which they not only operate but do the general maintenance also like
in industries. We have regular research presentation meeting which develop the presentation skills in the in students which make the able to make their research result presentations in
           the domestic and international conferences.

Quite often students play outside in ground and indoor table tennis within the building. In the science and research park, we have footsal and Gymnasium, where you can enjoy too.Every year we have annual sport competition whether awards are also being provided. I feel you can enjoy both of the research as well as exercise activities in my lab.
