The Omura Laboratory researches on power electronics and power semiconductors that accelerate the highly efficient use of energy, with "energy conservation" and "CO2 reduction" as keywords.
The laboratory is characterized by its comprehensive capabilities that cover everything from materials and devices to systems, contributing to the realization of a low-carbon society through the promotion of energy conservation, advanced power utilization technologies, and the use of natural energy.
Recently, applications have been expanding to electric vehicles, wind power generation, solar power generation, and high-efficiency power transmission, attracting worldwide attention.
Our laboratory belongs to the Next Generation Power Electronics Research Center.
