National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC)

Period: 2010-2012
Research subject: Research on design and synthesis of near-infrared dye and synthesis of semiconductor composites (Research leader)
Research achievements: New dyes with near infrared absorption were designed and synthesized. In addition, we have succeeded in synthesizing a composite material of low tin oxide and zinc oxide. We also constructed a photoelectric conversion device with near infrared absorption.

Research subject: Study on materials for tandem dye-sensitized solar cell (Research leader)
Research achievements: New dyes with near infrared absorption were designed and synthesized. In addition, we have succeeded in synthesizing a composite material of low tin oxide and zinc oxide. We also constructed a photoelectric conversion device with near infrared absorption.

Research achievements: A central metal free dye was synthesized to achieve high efficiency of the dye-sensitized solar cell.

Research subject: Development of solar cells using improved titanium oxide (Research leader)
Research achievements: Nitrogen-doped titanium oxide was synthesized and applied to dye-sensitized solar cells.

Kyushu Industrial Technology Center, Japan-US Overseas Joint Research

Research subject: Elucidation of nitrogen-doped titanium oxide solar cell mechanism (Research leader)
Research achievements: The mechanism of increasing the efficiency of nitrogen-doped titanium oxide solar cells was clarified.
