1. the master's program

Through Introduction to Life Science and Systems Engineering course, students will become familiar with the structure and function of biological organisms which will be the foundation for Life Science. Students will participate in a collaboration group with students in the doctoral program as leaders and learn Project Based Learning (PBL) during a one-month period. In this PLB program, English is required, thereby ensuring comfort in using English, as well as consciousness of English as a tool for communication (English immersion PBL program).

2. the doctoral program

In the first part of the doctoral program, students will be dispatched to a university overseas for one month to participate in International Joint Research (Training program to develop globally awareness). In order to foster students capable of contributing globally, not only language education but also a wide range of knowledge is required. For this reason, students are dispatched to other research labs and research centers within the Kyushu Institute of Technology for a 3-month period to experience the most advanced research projects being conducted in the field of Life Science (Training program to develop research awareness). Furthermore, under the guidance of the project coordinator, students will become a leader for foreign students and students returning from the overseas study program in the English immersion PBL program to enhance their skills in planning, implementing and managing study themes (Planning and implementation of English immersion PBL program).

This education program is designed to foster researchers who have a rich international sense and wide-ranging expertise who are prepared to lead the world with the most advanced research.
