English immersion PBL (Project Based Learning) program

By planning and managing research project using only English as the vehicle for communication, this course aims to help students acquire planning, implementation, discussion and adjustment skills as will as skill in English communication.

This PBL includes a short-term project that can be completed in about one month, to be planned and carried out together with students in the master's program (approximately 3 to 4 students per project) under the guidance of a coordinator. Discussions and communication among the participating students will be held, as a rule, in English.

The objective of this segment is to build a foundation that enables students to take on activities overseas during the doctoral program through experience in a research project in English. At the same time, students will be encouraged to be active participants in the project.

Under the guidance of a project leader (the doctoral program student), a research project will be carried out with the goal of obtaining results within one month. As a rule, communication with the doctoral program student will be in English only.
